PIG SLURRY PROBLEMS ARE ALSO ORIGINATED BY:

Uncoupling of agriculture and livestock breeding.

Productive specialization, which has led to markedly intensified systems.

An important reduction of the available agricultural soil surface.

Abandoning of adequate utilization of livestock manure as a fertilizer.

Excess production and difficult handling and transport.

Uncontrolled use of artificial fertilizers in agriculture, together with the discharge of slurry and other types of manure.

Assimilation of a false technological culture which doesn't adequately value the waste products and doesn't favor knowledge of the real problems.

Lack of studies on the application/management of the possible alternatives.
