Professional careers: Five SELCO MC engineers have already obtained the OCDP certificate of Technician and/or Professional in Project Management. The OCDP is the Project Certification Organism of IPMA-AEIPRO. (IPMA International Project Management Association, represented in Spain by AEIPRO, the Spanish Association of Project Engineering). The essential requirements are to pass the theoretical exams and to dispose of an minimum experience in project management between 5 (TDP) and 10 years (DPD), apart from passing the personal interviews with the OCDP committee. Superior environmental technology: after receiving the 1st Award for the Demonstration Project in Superior Environmental Technology in June 2001, on behalf of the Animal Waste Management Centre of the North Carolina State University (AWMC-NCSU) in collaboration with the USDA and a cluster of universities that compose the Research Centre for animal waste management, a plant was started up at the end of the year 2002 and is continuously being evaluated in order to evaluate its economical, environmental and technical effectiveness and efficiency, in order to obtain the definitive certification by the end of June 2003.
